Off-Road biking around Bannerghatta National Park

Bangalore Cyclist Group joins the Btwin Club leaders

This is yet another thrilling experience with  bike .. the off road ..the trail and a bunch of new riders..who rented out cycles to join the fun..I am not sure if they have any idea what we are going to do with them or I can say what gonna happen to them in the short span of 4 hours of early morning 21st April 2013..

I will start with a very warm welcome to Bala , Pratik and Robin ..excuse me guys if there is any spelling mistakes in your names. You all had a great first day ride..lucky you all.. When I started Cycling I didn't find any ride like this..Its was more then one month of complete city rides only :)

Here's how the plan of the ride was laid out... Actually there was never a plan of off road ride today..Instead there was a plan of Hebbal to Nandi hills ride..a long awaited ride for a lot of riders in the group. I was suppose to meet others at Hebbal at 5.30AM on 21st as an event organizer. But on 20th I got calls from the 3 enthusiast newbie for the option of renting a cycle in Bangalore. Those daring guys were planing for Nandi rides as their first meetup. WOW!!! I flopped their plan ..hope I did a good job and I also hope they liked the alternative I gave to them. Finger crossed :). No one from the experienced cycling club will suggest a new rider to plan for an entire day ride of 100+ km on the first ride. With this suggestion I planned out quickly to organize another meet up on the same day to support these gutsy guys. And I have always the support of my friends of the past rides . Ahi, Asha and The Stunner Sridhar as riders, Pin2 and Charchita for the extended help and support as well as capturing the ride on the lens.

We met Sumit and Rachan at Decathlon Bannerghatta . Another guy waiting there for the off-road ride. We never new the ride will be so thrilling. While Rachan led it from the front making us explore the trail near Bannerghatta Sumit was always there with the last rider to encourage and extend his help. He played a great role in routing the supporting vehicle as well.

The ride went through forests ..rocks ...small lakes and a small limestone mines (i guess it was a lime stone mines or may be just a stone mines , not sure though :)). We glide... slide...and many fell from cycle during the rides..some were tough to the beginners ..but check out the pics it was a 50 km of awesomeness !!!

I cant forget to mention the ride through the cultivating field where one of the rider fell and it could have been a rough accident for him if i would have run over him with my bike with a speed of around 30kmph. The steep climb just after that was a joy to complete  The jumping of the nearly 10 feet rock was breathtaking and the cruising into the mines was scary. I hope for all the riders probably it is an unforgettable experience. Looking forward to do more rides of such kinds.
It was wonderfully guided by Rachan and Sumit especially the crafted tricks shared to handle each and every trail with your cycles. The perfect gear combination for each ups and downs.

The Stunner Sridhar got yet another nick name : Hercules Uncle !!! Well his potential can be easily termed as  the best among us. With a single speed he can manage to do things which many riders cant do with the gear ones.

NB: Ride Safe Ride Long . Wear all cycling gears like helmet, gloves ..etc..Keep taking fluids to stay away of dehydration during the ride.

Cycle to Pyramid Valley | Cycling around Bangalore

Cycle to Pyramid Valley Sunday, 24 th   March 2013 Pyramid Valley Pyramid Valley, the World’s Largest Meditation Pyramid is located around 35 KM south to Bangalore in Kanakapura Road.  More to Read The Ride It was sunny, it was windy and it was also a steep climb but still it was not enough to defeat the will of the riders in the group where majority of riders are beginners or casual riders. You all are Champs!!!! Let me start from beginning… when the decision was taken, a tough one, i.e.!!! Cycle to Pyramid Valley !!! When the winter is already gone. Adding to the temperature the dates got postponed twice in order to accommodate more riders… But with all ups and downs in the number of riders, it finally became 12. Kudos to you all folks At the very first point of the ride description I would like to mention one of the toughest decisions taken. I probably destroyed the ride plan of Anmol to join the group at Jayadeva Flyover...
